Story
Jens Harald Quistgaard (1919–2008) was a Danish sculptor and designer. He learned sculpture from his father, Harald Quistgaard, and developed a strong grounding in silversmithing and traditional craft.
In 1954 he helped establish Dansk Designs with American entrepreneur Ted Nierenberg and became the company’s principal designer for decades. Working across cast iron, stainless steel, ceramics, glass and wood, he brought a sculptural craft sensibility to industrially produced kitchenware and tableware.
