Story
Niels Clausen is a designer associated with Danish furniture of the 1960s and with the manufacturer NC Møbler. Reliable biographical information remains limited, so this page focuses on documented surviving furniture and maker information rather than assigning uncertain dates or career details.
Furniture attributed to Clausen and carrying NC Møbler, Odense identification includes chests of drawers and bedside tables in teak and rosewood. A pair of teak bedside tables dated around 1960 is documented with partially painted white and blue surfaces.
Some examples on the vintage market have also been attributed to Arne Vodder, while other documented pieces are identified as Niels Clausen designs produced by NC Møbler. Attribution should therefore be assessed from the label, provenance, and supporting documentation of each individual piece.
